AsianPLoP is a PLoP ® Conference sanctioned by the Hillside Group. |
What's New
Objective and MotivationA pattern is an abstracted repeatable solution to a commonly occurring problem under a certain context with forces. Patterns help people to share experience-based proven solutions and design products, manage processes, projects and organizations, and communicate each other more efficiently and effectively. Asian Conference on Pattern Languages of Programs (AsianPLoP) is a premier event for pattern authors and users to gather, discuss and learn more about patterns and software development in the Asia region as well as other regions. The purpose of AsianPLoP is to promote development of patterns, pattern languages, technologies and experiences of patterns primarily about software; however, these for domains outside software are also welcome. AsianPLoP 2010 solicits paper submissions written in both of English and Japanese; English papers and Japanese ones will be discussed in different sessions. Both practitioners from the industry and academics are invited to submit their papers. The conference solicits the papers for the following different sessions. Details can be found in Topics and Submission.
Thanks to our sponsors and supporters that the participation fee for AsianPLoP 2010 (including proceedings, coffee break except for banquet and lunch) is completely free for all of authors and attendants. The invited speaker of AsianPLoP is Joshua Kerievsky, who is an author of a Jolt Productivity awarded book "Refactoring to Patterns". He is a founder and CEO of Industrial Logic, Inc., and a pioneer of Industrial XP. He is also a senior consultant with Cutter Consortium's Agile Software Development and Project Management practice. AsianPLoP will be collocated with the GRACE International Symposium on Advanced Software Engineering held on March 15-17. It invites several talkers including Prof. Anthony Finkelstein (U. College London), Prof. Hong Mei (Peking U.), Prof. Jeff Kramer (Imperial College London), Prof. Bashar Nuseibeh (Open U.), and Prof. Jin Son Dong (National University of Singapore). All will take place in the National Center of Science in Hitotsubashi, an area of cultural and technological beauty; the Imperial Palace and the National Museum of Modern Art are in walking distance. Akihabara is close to the conference site. You can download the CFP in PDF format and TEXT format.
